Paint Your Heart Out
NeighborWorks Provo actively supports our community by organizing and participating in events which further our mission of neighborhood revitalization. One of our most exciting tools for this is called Paint Your Heart Out. We gather volunteer support, and bring people together for a day of painting and fun. We literally paint several houses in a day, creating some exciting new curb appeal for a block or a neighborhood.
Our most recent event was in August, when we painted 7 homes in a day! We also have done “Plant Your Heart Out” where we plant trees and shrubs throughout an area, providing more natural beauty and landscaping appeal. This past spring, we held a new type of event: a literal summit of all the non-profit organizations in Utah County, in order to allow them to get to know what other organizations do, and what resources each of them has available. We enjoy bringing our friends together each year for a Gala which helps us raise funds and share our passion.
